Royal Fathers in the Rivers State have praised the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) for her distinctive message bothering on love and peaceful coexistence. They eulogised the BCS as it stands out in its firm perspective on Peace as a major instrument to growth and development.
The appreciation is coming on the heels of a chain of visits to traditional heads of Okrika stock. These visits were carried out to intimate them of the ongoing 2022 Rivers State Peace and Unity Feast Celebration hosted by Okrika LGA as well as administer the message of the New Kingdom of God now on earth.
HRH, Air Commodore TEO Oguibe, Ogube 1 of Perekune Kingoli, Amayanabo of Kirike Kingdom, Okrika Rivers State, speaking in his palace in a statement, thanked the BCS for honouring him with their visit and praying for the longevity of his throne. According to him, the emphasis on Peace by the visitors will henceforth be his watchword as he noted that the progress of any community is measured first by how peaceful it is.
The Amayanabo of Kirike Kingdom said: “First of all, I thank God For a day like this that I am seeing men of God in my palace with a view to praying for the peace of the land. Okrika needs peace, we need unity so for coming to pray for peace and unity and for praying against all the deadly attacks of the enemy that could prevent progress, you have done well. I’ll support your cause any way possible, and I say amen to all your prayers”
Thanking God for the blessings of the visit, HRH, Air Commodore TEO Oguibe, also appealed to the BCS to pray more for the peace of Nigeria, the State, and the Kingdom as, according to him, without prayers, society is headed for doom.
In the palace of the Amayanabo of Okochri, Okrika, HRM Ateke Tom, the monarch said he considered himself privileged to receive such visitors from the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star adding that he appreciated the gesture and will become a part and parcel of the Fold.
In the words of HRH Tom: “Each time you come to my palace, I am assured I will learn a new thing. Your messages are always kind, your songs are soul-lifting, and your prayers are Heavenly; I am indeed a privileged king”
According to the Amayanabo of Okochri, the BCS is an organisation that has a lot to offer society, confessing that having come into close contact with her members, he has every reason to agree that God dwells in the Fold.
In his opening remarks, the Administrator of Rivers State, PCS Sokipriye Wokoma, expressing appreciation for the warm welcome accorded the team, said the visit was in line with the mandate of the Ruler of the Heavens and the Earth, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, to accord honour to who honour is due, and as a respected monarch on the Okrika soil, the Host Community of the 2022 Peace and Unity Feast, they had to pay their courtesies.
The Administrator stated that the gospel of peace was sensitive and, therefore, had to be preached first to the headship of any society. He added that if there is peace at the top, it would definitely permeate to the grassroots. He said the King was favoured and for embracing the tidings of peace, he was going to enjoy a peaceful reign as king.
The Amayanabo of Bolo and Council as well as the Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs were also visited. The kings were presented with Copies of the Everlasting Gospel, New Kingdom Trumpet Publication, and tracts.
