A little over two thousand years ago, a Man set foot on this planet and did things that no one had ever done. Although His time here was short, His impact changed the world and is still felt today. He continually demonstrated creative power over nature’s laws. He was born without normal conception; He turned water into wine; He disproved the law of gravity when He ascended; He disproved the law of diminishing returns when He fed 5,000 people with two fishes and five loaves of bread; He healed the sick and the blind without drugs; He said no one can come unto the Father except through Him; He is the Beginning and the End.
The only person greater than He, is The Father, His Father, my Father, and your Father; my God and your God, the God of all creation.
He had no servants, yet they called Him Master;
He had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher;
He had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer;
He had no army, yet kings feared Him;
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world;
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him;
He was buried, yet He lives today and forever;
He is the Lord, Jesus Christ.
He is the one who said, “I came from the Father, and am come into the world.” (John 16: 28); The One who proclaimed, “I and my Father are one.” (John 10: 30). The One who said, “Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.” (John 14: 28); The One who said, “I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him will ye receive.” (John 5: 43); The One who promised to go and prepare a place for us and then come back to gather us unto Himself; “Let not your hearts be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14: 1-3).
He finished His work so well and prayed to the Father thus: “I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” (John 17: 4-5).
The Father glorified Him by giving Him a name above all others, The Name of God as recorded in Philippians 2: 5-11; “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”.
He was born OLUMBA OLUMBA OBU. The Holy Father told me that at birth he was so very fair that Sister Voluntia, the wife of the landlord where the Father lived at Old Odukpani Road, suggested that they look for native herbs to darken his complexion a bit. He was, however, better known and addressed by the name ROLAND. This is how it happened.
The Holy Father’s initials were OOO. His Holiness’ initials were OOO. His immediate younger brother’s initials were also OOO but his initials did not stand for Olumba Olumba Obu. So, most times when correspondences arrived, there was always some confusion as to whose correspondence it was. So, the two brothers decided to give themselves names. He became Roland Obu while His brother became Orlando Obu. The assumption of the new names was divinely inspired to hide His true identity from the enemy. When He came in His second advent as Jesus, (His first advent was as Adam) He was named Emmanuel meaning ‘God with us’ but the Father changed it to Jesus (Saviour) so as not to attract unnecessary attention to Him. So, He started bearing the name ROLAND and it caught on. Not many people know or believe He was born Olumba Olumba Obu. I want to show you that even that name ROLAND is divine and has a divine meaning. It means RULER OVER LANDS AND DOMINIONS. “And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, and that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” (Daniel 7: 14). So, whichever way you look at whatever name He bore, all are Divine and Powerful.
The Father and His Christ will make this special edition of the New Kingdom Trumpet spread afar so that the misled and misinformed brethren and the world will be better and authoritatively informed. I believe that very many misled and misinformed ones, if not all, will be guided accordingly and return and fall before His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu as our Father, Ruler, and King for there is but ONE FLOCK AND ONE SHEPHERD.
There were two things that confused and misled the brethren and the world. First, His Name. (They did not believe He was born Olumba Olumba Obu.) And secondly, the Crowning in the Hall on 12th April 2001. (They did not know that the main crowning had taken place in the Vestry after the Home Mission.
So, all sorts of rumours and stories were spread to mislead and deceive brethren.) It was after the re-enactment of the crowning in the Great Hall that the plot against Him thickened.
There is no shame in not knowing who His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu is. In His earlier advent, He ate and did everything with His 12 disciples but they did not know who He was. They regarded Him as their Master, period. Even the disciple He loved so much, John, son of Zebedee, did not know Him. The Holy Spirit revealed Him to Peter, yet Peter denied Him three times. That was why, after His resurrection, He asked Peter three times if he loved Him. Peter answered three times in the affirmative and that cleared and reinstated Peter as His Chief Apostle.
“So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith into him, Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith unto him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yes, Lord: thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he had said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, Thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.” (John 21: 15-17).
It is imperative that brethren share their dreams and revelations as they are divine media through which the Holy Spirit relays messages to us and the world. The Book of Revelation in the Bible contains the dreams of John the Divine about the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star and these end times. That is why time is given during worship to relay dreams, visions, and testimonies.
If brethren, who were lucky to have had revelations about the Divinity of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, had shared or written them, a lot of brethren may not have been misled. The Holy Spirit did not reveal Him to me neither did He reveal Himself to me like the lucky ones who had the revelations. I have, however, always loved and believed in Him as My Master and served Him faithfully and loyally.
Satan, that slippery wicked man, sneaked into me and made me angry that I did some stupid things and went away for six years. Those six years were not pleasant at all. They were hell. Moving away from His Holiness is hell for His true children, so if you talk about hell, I have been there. But He mercifully pulled me out, like the prodigal son, and welcomed me back into His Light. He is the Light of the world. He, The Christ, is the Head, and the world constitutes the Body. Unless the world bows to Him, there will be no peace on planet earth. Let us and the world follow Him and be saved.
REVELATIONS ABOUT WHO HE IS
It is said, from the mouths of two or three true witnesses, a matter is confirmed. I will now share some revelations that show that He and the Father are ONE and that He is the one to look up to. The Father has emptied Himself into His Holiness so if you see His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, you have seen the Holy Father, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu. Anything you do to and with His Holiness is done with and to the Holy Father, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.
1. K. E. BASSEY of blessed memory and the dream he had in 1989.
“As I was walking, in the spiritual world, towards Ambo Street from Dr. Dean Street, I saw a large crowd made up of many members and non-members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, streaming into 34 Ambo Street compound. I joined them. At 34 Ambo Street, I saw thousands of people from all walks of life jubilating. The choristers were arranged based on the various areas they came from. They were singing and dancing. I asked the one close to me what the gathering was all about but she ignored me.
As we continued praising God in songs, the Holy Father, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, arrived from nowhere in a Jeep and members surged forward to catch a glimpse of Him. He was carried shoulder high into a waiting open car. At that point, someone announced that the Holy Father was set for the airport. His entourage sandwiched His car as they moved. At the airport, dignitaries from all over the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star world, mounted a guard of honour for Him to inspect after rendering the Brotherhood Anthem.
After the brief ceremony, the Father walked briskly into the waiting aircraft. As He turned at the top of the aircraft steps to bid the crowd goodbye, the Holy Father’s face changed to that of Bishop Roland Olumba Obu and as He turned to enter the aircraft, on His back was written boldly, THE KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS, and a voice said, ‘BEHOLD THE MISSING LINK.’ I was then disconnected.”
2. BROTHER CHARLES MENE
“In a dream, I saw myself in a huge expanse of land like a desert. I saw a cross and when I moved closer to the cross, I saw The Holy Father on it. Then suddenly, The Holy Father changed to His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, The King of kings and the Lord of lords. Then His Holiness became the Holy Father; then The Holy Father became His Holiness. That was how they were interchanging till I was disconnected. Thank You Father.”
3. BROTHER ERNEST OKUTE
“In the dream there was a massive earthquake accompanied by lightning and people were running helter-skelter looking for where to hide. Then thunder struck and a mighty Light came down from the sky with a live image of our Lord Jesus Christ. As people were running to hide under the Light, and to the amazement of everyone, the live image of our Lord Jesus Christ changed to His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, The King of kings and the Lord of Lords. People who came under the shelter of the Light were all saved.”
5. SISTER IRENE GORING (London)
1.“In one of my dreams, I was shown the Great Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, The Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe, gather all the spirits in one big hall. The spirits took all forms and shapes. The Holy Father set a very high chair on a stage before them, while He humbly sat on a lower surface beside the chair. The hall appeared to be very noisy as if there was a debate going on among the spirits.
The Holy Father challenged all the spirits to show Him who among them thought he was worthy to sit on that consecrated chair. The hall fell silent, then after a while, a certain female spirit, half-human and half-fish stood up from its seat and began making its way to the consecrated chair.
The Holy Father was quietly observing this spirit as it made its way to that seat, and as soon as it attempted to sit on the consecrated chair, the Holy Father got up from where he sat and pushed this supposed marine spirit away from the chair, and the spirit went crashing to the floor.
The Holy Father declared before all the spirits that the only ONE who is WORTHY to sit upon that chair is The King of kings and the Lord of lords, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu.
At this instant, the Holy Father moved to the back of the stage, and I saw a door open. He walked into a room, then almost immediately emerged with His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, The King of kings and the Lord of lords, and installed Him on the chair.”
2.“In another revelation, The Father showed me a scene where Moslems were returning from their Friday Jummah service. I observed that as each one of them left the mosques, they quietly moved to a particular open field. They came in skeletal numbers but eventually took up the entire space on the field. When they were fully gathered in this open field, they began deliberating in quiet tones. No sooner than they gathered on this field than a spotless pure white lamb appeared on what you would call a centre stage.
Their deliberation was centred around slaughtering the white lamb. As they made to slaughter this white lamb, one of them disagreed with their collective decision to slaughter this lamb. Because one of them objected, and they were all not of one mind, there was confusion among them, as the lamb could not be slaughtered.
At this instant, the Holy Father, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, appeared right before them, and they all bowed their heads to Him, in recognition of His deity. The Holy Father addressed this crowd of Moslem men, telling them that there will be no war or separation in Nigeria and that they should all embrace peace. The Holy Father went on to say to them that the One who they need to receive and recognize is His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, The King of kings and The Lord of lords, for peace to reign. With this declaration, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, The King of kings, and the Lord of lords appeared in the sky, seated on a Royal stool, and their faces all looked up to see Him. They were in total silence by this time.
One after another, they began to depart the field; and as each of them departed, they removed a dagger hidden under their garments, and thrust each dagger on the field. Within a short while, there was not one Moslem left in the field, only daggers, and the field became a ‘field of daggers.’ The Holy Father then flew round all the corners of Nigeria, writing the word, PEACE, in the air, using His Finger.”
THE MOST SIGNIFICANT REVELATION ABOUT HIS HOLINESS OLUMBA OLUMBA OBU, THE KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS
On the morning of 21st July 2001, part of the Holy Father, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu’s morning brief went as follows:
“Is the King of kings here? Invite the King of kings to be in our midst. Send for Him to join in the service. I want the King of kings to come and conduct this morning’s prayers. The whole world has sinned against God and is not worthy of Him. Let every creature in humility go on his or her knees and give thanks to the Father for I do not have many prayers to offer again.
BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD
Recall when Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it upon Isaac his son, and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both together towards the place God had told Abraham to offer his son as a sacrifice to God. Then Abraham’s son (Isaac) said to his father, ‘Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, ‘My son, God will provide for Himself a burnt offering.” And they came to the place God told him of, and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. Then Abraham stretched forth his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But behold, God provided the sacrificial lamb. (Read Genesis 22: 1-20).
TODAY, THAT SACRIFICIAL LAMB HAS MANIFESTED IN FLESH AND BLOOD. HE HAS BEEN INTRODUCED AND ALSO GIVEN TO THE WORLD. Thus, He has come to continue the service. This does not entail long prayers but a brief prayer for the whole world. He has to offer a brief prayer on behalf of the entire world.
PART OF HIS HOLINESS THE KING OF KINGS’ FIRST SPEECH AFTER HIS REVELATION BY THE FATHER:
Brethren, we are so grateful to the Father this morning, for the forgiveness of all our sins. Let His name be praised in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. We thank the Father because nothing can erase whatever He says. We all know that whatever He opens nobody can shut, and whatever He shuts, nobody can open. Today you are all asked to go and sin no more. So let it be. It is left to us to refrain from sin. Today is a wonderful day. We did not expect and we never thought that this day would come so soon but He is an all-knowing God. He knows what is ahead for us and that is why He performed what you witnessed today.
BACK TO THE REBELLION
The plots and intrigues and tensions were so much because the initial plan was to have the police invite Him to Lagos for reasons best known to them. I smelt a rat so when He said to me, “If it is my blood that will bring peace, then let me go to Lagos.” I said ‘NO’ to Him, “You are going nowhere.” The plot continued to thicken. I cannot write all here but a few.
Someone scaled His fence to attack Him in the dead of the night but failed.
Then there was the plan to intercept and snatch Him on the road anytime He drove out. He drove around Calabar but they could not see Him let alone intercept Him.
Then a contingent of Mobile Police was sent to 34 Ambo Street on 1st July 2001, along with an Armoured Personnel Carrier to storm 34 Ambo Street and arrest Him. They got to the Beautiful Gate which was opened for them. They spent about an hour in front of the Gate but could not enter.
Then there was the traditional wedding of His younger sister that was slated to take place in Biakpan on the 10th of December, 2000. His Holiness overruled and it held instead in the Royal Farm in Calabar. Being God, He knew what their plans were so He chose the Farm instead for the ceremony.
He had instructed me to stay behind and monitor things in and around 34 Ambo so I did not attend the traditional wedding. He was supposed to join me in the Hall before 8 pm as that day was the Leader’s Representative’s Meeting with the Holy Father and He was to preside. Meanwhile, the opposition had flooded the environs of 34 Ambo Street with police. He outwitted them by taking a different route and appeared in the Hall to their utter amazement. I was so relieved.
The Holy Father had come out much earlier than usual, at about 9 pm. As soon as His Holiness appeared, something disgraceful and shameful happened. They all walked out on the Holy Father and His Holiness amidst grumbling and rude remarks. His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu presided over and concluded the meeting excellently.
ABOUT HIM
Nobody is known in the flesh. “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh; yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.” (2 Corinthians 5: 16).
If you look at His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, you cannot but be affected by his HUMILITY and Simplicity. I can never forget the first time I saw Him, in 1982, and we exchanged greetings. He was in plain white soutane like everyone else. He may have heard about me and my profession, so after we shook hands, He said to me “If not God, how will I know people like you.” I did not know Him and had never met Him. But can you imagine God saying that to one of His inconsequential creatures like me? If that is not humility then I don’t know what else is. Know me? It is a privilege for me to know Him not He know me. He created and owns me.
I was the first person He took personally to 39 Ambo Street, Calabar, and asked me to choose an apartment even before he chose one. I eventually lived there, on and off, with Him, for 25 years during which we interacted a lot. His humility humiliates me and will humiliate anyone who meets Him and eventually discovers who He is.
You have sons of men born to mere mortals in high places who throw their weight around and behave rascally because of who their parents are. But here you have the First Begotten Son of God, who is Son of Man, Son of God and God Himself, living and comporting Himself as if He is nothing. At a stage He had a pick-up truck He was using as a vehicle. It did not bother Him.
He would queue like every other person and take flights as against the children of so-called VIPs who are chauffeured to the airport and flown in private jets. He never took Himself as anything to confirm what was written about Him, “But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men”. (Philippians 2: 7). He and I used to go to late Bishop Ekanem’s office at his behest and sit and wait till he called us and after whatever tasks were done, we would all go back to his house, eat, and then head home. The King of kings and the Lord of lords serving and mingling with ordinary humans? No earthly prince or heir will do that. That prince or heir would have been separated from others after a certain age. That is how humble He was and still is. He does not put on airs.
When in 1989 the Holy Father told both of us to go to the Cameroons, we got to Calabar airport and an immigration officer started making rude remarks about Him and making some foolish utterances like ‘what kind of bishop is this?’ This was because no special car brought Him to the airport and no special check-in was done for Him. Worst of all He was dressed simply and in mufti not in all those heat-causing garments, heavy chains, and hats worldly bishops wear. Through it all, He kept quiet and said nothing till the officer finished his rubbish. I then challenged the immigration officer whereupon he apologized and said he was not aware of the dignity and personality of His Holiness. The world sucks up to and bows to highly placed people in society not minding if they are thieves, robbers, or looters of the treasury. They look at the outside instead of the inside.
LOVE PERSONIFIED
There is no sermon or occasion He does not emphasize on Love. His Holiness is Love personified. He has a very large heart and forgives readily. In situations where you would think He would react or do something drastic, He would keep quiet. He takes His time to evaluate situations and occurrences and always reacts with mercy.
His mercy and kindness have no beginning and no end. People broadcast and politicize the help they render others. The number of people, baptized and non-baptized, His Holiness feeds, pays fees for, provides accommodation, clothes and helps; parents of some indigent children He trains in schools and universities boggles the mind but He forbids anyone talking about it. He and the Father are one in the profuse display of love and kindness.
He single-handedly ran Rovers Football Club of Calabar. He saw to their jerseys, boots, and other things. A gentleman called Essien Ayi was the team manager. We would meet in 39 Ambo then He would send Ayi ahead to Lagos to go see to the preparation of any matches, then He would fly to go meet the team. He was present at all Rovers matches. As soon as He left Rovers, the Club collapsed to date.
MONEY MATTERS
When the Kingdom drama started, there was no money with Him. The reason was that the Holy Father had asked Him to handle and control all the accounts of the Kingdom but He told the Father He was ok with his big sister controlling all the accounts. So, when all powers were given Him to administer and Head the Brotherhood world, He virtually had nothing to start with but the Father glorified Himself that today we are proud of the investments and various structures of The BCS in 34 Ambo Street and elsewhere. We are proud of the various establishments, our First Royal Microfinance Bank (The future Central Bank of the World), and many other projects in the pipeline. We thank the Father for how His Holiness has spectacularly managed resources. We thank all those who tax themselves, sacrifice, and devote their time, in whatever little and sincere way, to advance the work of the Father in the Kingdom.
It may be difficult now but let us believe that whatever we are going through is nothing compared to the glory that awaits us. Most of all, we are sure of eternal life. So, let us all strive to run our races with dedication and faith knowing fully well that He never disappoints or fails. A thousand will fall on our left and ten thousand to our right but it will never come near us. He always makes sure that whatever evil is planned against us always goes back to the planners.
He has sealed us and that seal is the Passover mark on all his children. Passover from death to life, from hardship and suffering, and penury to wealth. Time is coming when only BCS members will prosper. Only their crops will grow. You will raise your pillow and see money. We thank Him for coming this time around to gather us to Himself so that where He is, we shall also be. If you believe in Him and love Him, you will never lack. Belief is not paying lip service or pretentiously playing to the gallery, but belief in our hearts and having the type of love He has for us.
I wish to thank You, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, the King of kings and the Lord of lords on behalf of myself and Your children for coming again into the world to gather us unto Thyself. Whatever we are, you made us and whatever we have, you gave us. We come from you and belong to you. Please do not leave us comfortless.
The world will bow to you. All prayers go to you, and through you, to the Father.
You appoint and you dismiss. You make and unmake. You raise and you debase. You chose Donald Duke as Governor in my presence. I was with you when you chose Liyel Imoke. You made Jonathan governor and later on the president of Nigeria. You made Eileen Sirleaf president of Liberia in 2003. Does the world know that you are the one that chooses who will be what? You made John Kuffour of Ghana president after he sent an informal delegation to you. I received them. He never sent a thank-you note or come to thank you personally. His appreciation was to send 2,000 dollars. What an insult but you said nothing. He never knew that both he and all he has and even the nation, Ghana, belong to you. Yes, heaven and earth and the fullness thereof belong to you. Here is the proof: “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins; Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him and for him: And he is before all things, and by him, all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have pre-eminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth or things in heaven.” (Colossians 1: 12-20).
How does one say Happy Birthday to a being who has no beginning and no end, no genealogy, as you existed before the world was? That was why when this celebration started and they tagged it King’s Birthday, I said no. I said it cannot be ‘birthday’ because You are greater than the world. I suggested the tag Divine manifestation which was gladly accepted. You were killed as Jesus, out of hatred, envy, and jealousy, but you conquered death and are alive forevermore.
“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Revelation 1: 17-18).
Only a few days ago, The Holy Spirit, The Supreme Judge of the Universe gave you victory over all opposition in the Brotherhood World when the Supreme Court of Nigeria affirmed you, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, as The Chairman/Head of the BCS Trustees. Our joy is full as you have overcome as was written of you. “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” (Revelation 17: 14).
The world says they know neither the Father nor you. But no one will teach the other to know the Father and You. Rulership of the world has been handed over to you and so the world will bow to the Father and You whether they like it or not. As a result of how you will shake heaven and earth to their very foundations, all heads will bow to You, all mouths will confess that Holy Name, all knees will bend in the worship of You. The whole will come before You and call You blessed. The world will bring their glory unto You, for the Father and You are Holy; You are Lord and God and to You belong all praise, honour and glory, dominion, majesty, might and power, authority, thanksgiving, supremacy, and excellency, now and ever. Amen.
Once again Holy Father, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, with a penitent heart, I sincerely beg for forgiveness of my sins and a comprehensive pardon of my indiscretions.
