… Begins The Registration Process In The National League With 30 Players
The official Football Club of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star known as the Amen Boyz Football Club is set to join her counterparts in the Nigeria National League as the registration process has fully begun.
Christ Ambassador Rowland Omangi, the Chairman of the Club, who disclosed this at the official launch of the Football Club during the Feast of Tabernacle held in honor of the King of kings and Lord of lords, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu in Calabar, Cross River State recently announced that the team has already selected 30 qualified players to begin the registration process.
Omangi disclosed that the 30 players were carefully selected after thorough scrutiny and as such were qualified to represent the team during the new football season of the Nigeria National League come 2020. Though admitting that challenges and obstacles are inevitable in the beginning, Omangi expressed optimism that with the grace of the Father and hard work, they will surely triumph against all obstacles.
Bishop-Elect Jonas Amisa, the coach of the club, who also spoke during the launch express gratitude to the CEO of the Club, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, for supporting the initiative of empowering the youth in the fold through sports.
Maintaining that one of the factors galvanizing global unity today is sports, Amisa expressed optimism that apart from growing the young talents and showcasing them for greater opportunities, it will enhance the unity among BCS and other religious bodies who are already participants in the league.
The Captain of the Club, Brother Godwin Tobby, congratulated his fellow teammates for making it to the final stage even as he expressed hope that the team will perform creditably.
Expressing his joy over the performance of the boys during a few of their friendly matches played so far before the official launch day, the Chairman, Brotherhood All Youths Assembly Enterprise Council, the Patriarch, Christ Shepherd Michael West, expressed optimism in the future performance of the team.
He, therefore, urged them to be more dedicated in their roles as players and imbibe a team spirit to succeed while reiterating the support of the council to the growth of the team.
The Team has in its management 30 players, a technical adviser, coaches and backroom staff; a secretary who is Christ Ambassador Otong E. Otong and the Chairman in the person of Christ Ambassador Rowland Omangi.
